How Learning Actually Works

We structure our programs around doing rather than just listening. Every week brings new challenges based on situations you'll face in real database roles.

Your Weekly Structure

  • Monday: Problem Introduction We present a real database challenge. Could be performance issues, recovery scenarios, or design problems. You get context and requirements just like a client brief.
  • Tuesday-Thursday: Guided Work You work through solutions with instructor support. We demonstrate techniques, then you apply them. Office hours available when you get stuck on tricky issues.
  • Friday: Review and Discussion Compare different approaches with your cohort. Learn why certain solutions work better than others. We discuss trade-offs and real-world considerations.

Learn From Working DBAs

Our instructors currently manage production databases. They bring fresh insights from their day jobs into the classroom each week.

Classes are small on purpose. We cap enrollment at 12 students per cohort so everyone gets individual attention when debugging complex issues. You're not watching from the back of a lecture hall.
